So is SotA actually better?
So far, SotA seems to be like the original game, just more empty and with less of a story. People seem to agree that it's better than the original story but so far, it just seems like a sandbox grind.

How hard is it to type out the title your asking about?

Extremely. I'm allergic. Thank you for your helpful response.

SOA is the prequal so I guess to me it was interesting to see how the original story came about. It's kind of ominous knowing he is searching for the very thing that is going to kill millions of people .

Silly otters taking apples?

Super offensive tentacle assaults?

I'm stuck trying to figure out which game this is.

The former....no wait, the latter.

I meant more in terms of gameplay.

I personally love it. It feels so fresh and exciting to me and I love that it's a prequel to the OG game. With that being said, I did play the OG story mode through 4 times and played survival mode for many many hours and was craving more. SotA feels like the perfect answer I was looking for, and it seems to have more content and things to accomplish than the OG story mode for me.
Edited to add: Guides are a lifesaver for me and help give me direction when I feel lost, literally and figuratively. I think it would be tougher without following a guide.
Edited again to add: I like having specific quests and missions to do in a game. I like that this expansion added so much more to the game. I can come up with my own things to do in survival mode, and the OG story mode is really good and fun, but this just added soooooo much of what I wanted more of. It feels so adventurous and exciting. I love the mini games with the ayhuasca trips and trotting around to find the legends, helping wounded warriors and desperate fishermen, fighting white caimans and black panthers, etc. It feels so rewarding and this is one of my all time favorite games ever and I loveeee SotA

So...am I missing something or are the quests and content you are referring to the 3 or so things you can do to get "respect"? Grab children, heal tribals and burn bodies? Is there more to it?

Yes, there's more than one tribe you'll have to gain trust for and each one has different tasks for gaining trust

I play on King of the Jungle mode, use bow and arrow for my main weapon, and let myself get fully immersed and invested in the story, all of which make the game even more fun imo. If you're comparing this game to other ones or looking for something specific in the gameplay idk maybe it's not for you. But I do recommend looking up a guide on the Green Hell wiki so you're not missing out on what the game does have to offer

Alright. I'll take that as "Yes, you are correct." I was honestly asking. My family and I get immersed in every game we play as well, but some games have a lot more things to do than others. Maybe because the original story is shorter, it felt more content-rich. SotA feels big and empty.

My other comment was essentially just "Yes, you are correct." I was just honestly answering! I didn't mean for my wordy response to bother you, I just get excited when I talk about the game. No harm meant
