I'm stupid and lost and can't find anything for whatever reason
I never beat Sekiro since I can't find the time to beat games anymore but I've been getting back into it on PC and I'm confused as to what I need to do next. I just beat Armored Warrior but I still need to beat Lady Butterfly (who is a ♥♥♥♥♥). Is there a place I need to go next besides beating her or do I need to beat her right away? Kinda blocked at the moment if that's the case lol.

I don't necessarily need answers I guess but some pointers would be nice. ty

not as giving spoilers

If you continue from where you killed the Chained Ogre, you will see a broken bridge. There is a hidden drop point just to the left of it, not visible. If you continue from there, you will encounter a big snake. skip it and continue

Try to get to the top of Ashina Castle. Our main goal is to find and save Master Kuro and take revenge. Genichiro is at the top of the castle. For this, you need to defeat Raging Bull. From there, you can go to Senpou Temple

You can see what happened in the past in Hirata Estate.

You can go to Sunken Valley but you need to find a key or method to open some paths. You will still find an idol.

You can pass through the fog gates by killing some mini bosses. But they are usually difficult, so go to the places I mentioned above first.

You mean the Armored Warrior in Senpou Temple? In that case, you're looking for a number of ingredients to create a perfume which will take you to the divine realm. There will be one neccessary quest item at the end of each route out of Ashina: a rock, a flower, and a sword.

Lady Butterfly is optional (and that entire area is actually in the past), but she's not too bad once you figure her pattern out. There's also one very easy strategy that will make her leagues easier: spam dodge attacks at her constantly.
There was a lot of exploring I didn't do so thank you both for your input.

Just to let you know that by defeating Lady Butterfly (yes, she is optional as fighting her or not does not affect any of the endings... BUT, yes, there is a "but", by defeating her, you will be rewarded with an item that your master, Lord Kuro can increase your resurrection chance by ONE, i.e. you will get 3 of those pink blobs at the bottom of the left corner. So, to fight her or not, that is your choice. Anyway, good luck and have fun :)
Yeah I'm trying to power through her but she's still a mf lmao. Almost beat her the other day but when you're struggling with the first phase, that's less time to learn the second. Makes things take longer lol.

Lady Butterfly a hoe and I don't like fighting her, so here's some tips:

Shuriken is your friend here. Enemies in the air are vulnerable to it. She is only slightly an exception. If she's doing anything in the air that isn't idling, throw a shuriken. Especially if she's going for a grab. It will knock her out the grab, deal chip damage, and leave her vulnerable for at least one good hit, more if you're lucky/behind her. Win-win-win.

Something good to remember is that she only has two perilous attacks. One is the grab. The other is done when she's on the ground, and it is always a sweep. Gooba stomp her ass.

Second phase tips: at the beginning, she will "spawn" at the top of the statue in the front of the room, to the right of its head. She will sit there for a moment and speak, then jump down in front of it. Use this time to heal, pellet, candy if you're brave, etc. Once she jumps down, you have a small window to attack her. Use firecrackers, axe, whatever makes you happy.

After this, sometimes, she will fight back and wait to spawn in her little dudes. This is good, because no little dudes. Sometimes she'll just block and then summon. There are a few good ways to deal with the illusions. The best is a snap seed. Go in the middle of them, use it, they all go away. I understand that snap seeds are limited at this point, however.

The alternatives are to deal with them manually, or just run around. They all die in one hit, so you can clean them up with just your sword pretty easy. Or, just run around until she dismisses them. This comes with a major downside. When she dismisses them, they all turn into clusters of projectiles. These projectiles don't do much, but there are a lot of them. They will kill you. Run in a circle or behind a pillar, whatever fits the situation.

A final tip. Second phase is very similar to first phase. There are two differences. One is the summons. The second is more of those projectiles during some of her attacks. Unless you are at very low health, you can safely ignore these. They spawn in low amounts and as stated, don't do much damage.

Good luck! Happy to answer more questions as needed.
