Try unplugging your keyboard. For some reason, Sekiro prioritizes the keyboard.

I have a Razer tartarus it needs to be disconnected before i boot the game, then the dualsense works.

Does it work with Steam, or is this only peculiar to Sekiro?

If your connecting via Bluetooth, make sure that your Bluetooth adapter is working. (Go to Device Manger and ensure that none of the icons have an error symbol)

Try connecting your xbox devices directly to your PC via your USB cable wire. (It should be plug-in-play, so you should have no issue with that connection method)
I used 2 types of xbox divices: USB cable 360 & Bluetooth for X1 connections. But still Sekiro doesn't work, only Sekiro in Steam. Elden ring & The Binding of Isaac work fine

Ahh this problem. Try any one of these two:

1) Try adding the game on steam as a non-steam product and enabling steam input, but only after disabling the games .exe running as administrator.

2) Look at Control Panel- If you see some USB device labeled as a Game Controller, then delete that and see if that works.
1) Done as u said, nothing
2) Same
Yeah I'm having the same problem, no suggestions have worked

If you have an XBOX controller, have you guys tried connecting via usb cable? That 100% should work.
Sure 've tried lots of times. However doesn't

I think what could be the issue is that Sekiro mistakenly uses one of your controllers, instead of the other. (You stated that you have the XBOX 1 and 360 gamepads)

This is a problem I've noticed a lot whenever I read complaints about this issue on reddit forums and Youtube. (People are using, or have used, more than one controller and can't seem to connect to Sekiro)

Try this out:

As crazy as it might sound HiHide was the third thing I tried and no luck. Sekiro "Sees" the xbox controller, but doens't recognize any inputs from it.
I find the solution for it just today (at least for me) while trying to solve the "reset sprint animation" problem for DSIII because the origin problem was the same.

A long time ago I used "GPDSCK 3.3b" to play Demon's Souls with the keyboard, and it install some app.

So I uninstalled vJoySetup.exe (I click on it; I not used the "app" Windows section) and then I restarted the PC solving my problem totally.
For both DS3 and Sekiro
