Can I beat Hirata Estate Owl Later, and Proceed to Fountain Head Instead?
I remember reading that purification ending is recommended. I'm having difficulty beating The Owl at Hirata Estate, so I'm wondering if it's okay for me to come back to the fight later. I figure I can progress through the story a bit more to get some stat upgrade and take a other jab at him again. I don't have access to Fountain Head yet.

Also, what are you struggling on with father?

Obviously a skill issue, I was able to beat phase 1 but usually have 3 or no pots to consume. I tend to get hit when I need to heal. I have Vitality 17 and Attack Power 9. People have beaten him with worse stats, so yeah--major skill issue from me haha. I can mikiri counterhis shadowrush, but the sweep attack usually hits me.

All right, I beat him. Not as skillful as other people though.

Emptied combat arts, spammed Headless's Ako Sugar and Divine Confetti I farmed with 18 Vitality and 11 Attack Power.
hahaha good stuff man

How'd you go from 9 to 11 attack power in an hour?

I struggled so much with great shinobi, took like 14 tries or something. Then I get to father and just do him in one go on accident lol. Probably cause he's so much more straight forward than great shinobi, plus he has no bs like poison or balls.

A combat art I recommend for father or owl in general is the reverse nightjar one as it both allows you to quickly close the gap between you two but also allows you to dodge backwards while dealing a little bit of damage in the process.

Was already collecting dragon mask. Took multiple hours.

Once I got to fountainhead, I beat the bridge boss, got the last mask fragment, then farmed Hirata Estate enemies to get 5 skill points to use it.

I usually just leave combat arts empty for hard and fast bosses. I keep doing mispresses on controller and it gets me hit. I just beat sword saint as well and did the same thing, no combat arts.
