Immersive AI bases
Me and my friends love playing against the AI cooperatively. However it's always so boring once you attack their bases. It's all a mishmash of structures placed nonsensically. The old AI is dumb as bricks in many ways but at least they walled up.

I understand pro players might find in inefficient to wall up, but as a casual player I just want to play against a decent AI that builds a base that feels cool to attack and that looks somewhat intelligently constructed.

More options for different ai personalities would be welcome, something more realistic and less esports. The kind of cities you see in the campaign, less efficient sure but fun to siege

I think it's a bit of a misconception but pro players do in fact wall up. In fact most players wall up in multiplayer. Sometimes walls are delayed and late game on open maps they're used less. Certainly early game walls are built. Not stone walls per say in 1 vs 1 (team games stone walls happen). A lot of the time people will build walls with buildings which is historically accurate. Many times housing and buildings fused into city defences. That's what players do. The AI builds the way it does to stop it trapping itself. It's an easy way to ensure the AI does not screw itself.

I'll say it would be nice to have better and more varied AIs. I don't think they're a priority for the dev team beyond fixing any serious issues. The main one that needs addressing is water play. AI just can't do it.

Finally finish with this. Maybe you and your friends should try playing against each other more. Human opponents are far more interesting. So long as skill levels are no to wide you can have fun. You can even balance things out with the handicap system. You can use treaties to reduce early game rushing. I think playing against AI long term is dull in any game as you figure out it's weaknesses over time, you leaves you coming up with more and more novel ways to win.

Not so much a compliant, more of a request/suggestion
