Assassin's Creed Valhalla Discussion
Hey everyone!

There's been a lot of posts lately with questions and thoughts about Valhalla, which there isn't a Discussion section for. We don't want any Odyssey discussion to get lost and this is its section, so please post in this thread with any questions, ideas, etc about Valhalla.

Thanks!

*If you're experiencing any technical issues, we have quite a few workarounds in the Known Issues Thread[discussions.ubisoft.com] on the Ubisoft Forums or you can contact our Support Team[support.ubi.com].

lol, that has nothing to do with being desperate but more with the fact that more and more people start discussions about valhalla in this forum and them trying to keep the forum relatively free of them by providing 1 discussion people should go to when they want to talk about valhalla here.

it is not working so far though.

would probably work infinitely better if they were to make a separate category, instead of trying to cram everyone in one forum topic.

More like to keep the community from going nuclear everytime a thread mentions Valhalla.

i would like to play and buy valhalla but as long as they boycott steam i will boycott ubisoft.
no developer cares that psn and xbox take 30% but on pc its a crime and you have to make your own launcher and shop but i dont want to miss the features that steam offers so i have no other option than boycotting ubisoft and epicgames.

How do you create a new official thread for commenting and also for other current and future AAA games? :)

Apparently ubisoft and steam couldn't agree on how much cut steam should get. And that's the reason behind this. Until the see eye to eye on this ubisoft may not release their games on steam. This is as per an article where ubisoft was repeatedly quote saying steams commission structure is archaic considering the current dynamics of industry. (New competition like epic etc)
Steam ofcourse is of the opinion that their current structure is fine.

So at the end of the day two companies couldn't agree on a deal. And that's why consumer is out of that choice.

So they decided to forsake the potential of 25million concurent users for slightly more money?

yes, thair main goal was to increase the sales for thair own launcher ubplay or how it is now called ubisoft connect:

https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2019/02/15/why-isnt-the-division-2-on-steam/
With this deal, we saw an opportunity to increase player exposure to our own store while at the same time supporting a partner that greatly values our games and provides better terms,” he claimed on yesterday’s earnings call. “Early indications are supportive, as PC pre-orders are higher than for the first Division, and pre-orders on the Ubisoft store are six times higher. We believe this deal is a long-term positive for Ubisoft.

Pretty much. They probably recovered part of the that loss from epic and their own uplay sales. Their uplay sales were at an all time high. Their plus subscriptions also did well which may have been also on their agenda.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla sold more copies than any other Assassin’s Creed game in the entire franchise. They’ll not return because as you can see, they CLEARLY don’t need Steam.

So tell Ubisoft to fix Valhalla and we will quit jamming up your odyssey posts. Until then, it just won't happen. You can try to lock and remove all the posts if you want, but people will keep making them as long as valhalla is broken.
