There is a parachute in AC Brotherhood.
Never played either one. So no, I don't mean those. Also didn't realize those were in the "future".
Is that "old style" AC? The only old school one I've liked is Black Flag, and that is pretty wonky compared to the more modern ones.
yes, those are old style games, they are litterally the 2nd and 3rd AC game ever released.
AC1 2007
AC2 2009
AC Brotherhood 2010
and sicne they already explored Renaissance Italy including DaVinci in those games i think the chances that we will see this setting in a new game any time soon are quite low.
however they announced a couple of remasters but if those 2 games are among them i suppose that those will still largely be the original style of AC from back then with some slight modernizations.
Yeah, I had a sneaking suspicion that you had indeed forgotten. Both Desmond and Ezio used a parachute. Only the design differed.
Don't knock it till you've tried it. The Ezio trilogy is what built the whole franchise and it is one I do not wish to see remade. With Ubisoft's current modus operandi they would create it without what made it so successful to begin with like the parkour part. Instead it'll be a "pay to progress faster" game with overpriced DLC and 'time savers' like every new addition to the franchise.
Yea, I played the first one on PS3 when it came out, but got tired of climbing towers just to jump off them. I liked Black Flag well enough, but just re-installed it, and the controls are just clunky (no crouch button? Really?) I've played Syndicate and some others, but I like the "modern" versions better. The MTX stuff isn't THAT bad, and I ignore it, other than the free Legendary gear I started with for some reason (which is mostly useless).
I got some freebies (like Liberation) when I got Odyssey and Origins, but only tried one of them, and wasn't impressed.
There are quite a lot of things Assassin's Creed the 1st starring the protagonist Altair did alright but there are some aspects that make it an experience most don't want to repeat. Before the "pay to progress faster" angle become a fixture in the franchise I used to recommend it if only to understand the bigger picture. But the 1st isn't what built the franchise per se. It was the Ezio Trilogy and the first is not included in it.
What's referred to as the Ezio Trilogy is Assassin's Creed II, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood and Assassin's Creed: Revelations.
Yea, I'm pretty wary about any of them that came out before Black Flag, which is fun for a while, but I really don't like how the controls work.
