When launching the game from Steam, a window shows up where you can pick whether you want to use the OpenGL or Vulkan renderer - simply pick the OpenGL option :)
EDIT: cause default desktop shortcut launch doesn't show OpenGL option, this window appears only when manually launching game from library.
one is called ISI and is empty, the ohter is MSVC2017.
is there suypposed to be stuff there? This is the GoG build, mind you. Maybe a file or two is missing there?> thanks.
this one is legit https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads
also, I installed the VS files, and it still refuses to launch with vulkan.
windows 10
intel i7 cpu
nvidia 1050gtx GPU
10 GB RAM
i had already performed a clean installation of the gpu before, so it should've been fine. I guess a recent Windows update josteled some Nvidia users up a bit.
I deleted Vulkan registry folder and ran the Vulkan Runtime Installer from
https://vulkan.lunarg.com/sdk/home#sdk/downloadConfirm/1.1.114.0/windows/VulkanSDK-1.1.114.0-Installer.exe
Restarted computer and now can run Jupiter Hell in Vulkan with no issues
PC Specs:
