No pressure -- better late than getting an unplayable or seriously bugged update.
P.S.: Great game! Keep on the good work!
1) Isn't there a simple command line switch to start in OpenGL mode ?
Currently, if I launch the game without Steam, or via a simple right click on Steam, it just crashes.
I need to open Steam's window, open game library, look for JH, launch, and select "openGL" in a pop-up.
2) I see "full console support" and "fake console" mode on the roadmap.
Do those include the possibility of a 2D "DRL-like" render someday ?
2D looks wayyyyy cleaner, easier to read, and more comfortable to me than 3D. (& has better performances)
I'm not expecting it around 1.0, but I hope something will eventually be possible (maybe as a mod ?).
2) it might be possible, but even fake console is a cheap gimmick for us. We're definitely not investing time into creating a full 2d tileset and animation systems. On engine level there should be some tools for that, so maybe when modding is in.
1) I don't want to mess with my drivers. I got quite old stuff (Radeon 3870, I think), and already had big issues a few times when trying to use last "officially compatible" drivers on Gfx cards.
It works as is, I'm not gonna break it.
Glad to know there's a switch ! Consider telling about it in the readme :)
2) I'm not expecting the tiles as much as the functionality.
IMO, thats the kind of things which might be easier to let the community handle (♥ Derek Yu ♥).
I guess I'll have to wait some more years for that anyway. Not a big deal, as long as it comes some day.
