Update v1.3

- Butterfly Mask, the winner from the Twitter mask contest, created by user @24914x! It kind of reminds me of a distant warrior from the future... I can't quite put my finger on it.

- Yin-Yang Mask, another popular addition from Twitter, created by @ToasterKiwi! Each character will wear a different half of the yin-yang symbol. It's the only mask that can be worn by both characters at the same time!

- GrandPOOBear Mask, a mask from the People's Champion, speedrunner GrandPOOBear! If you wear this, you might start sharing a bit of his anger towards a certain green dinosaur...and of course, you can also get the Champion's Fursuit, a mask from top fighting game player SonicFox!


- New Easy Mode artifacts, which should help players who are having a little bit of trouble! You can also stack them for an even easier game! ...If you're into that.

- Balancing fixes for the final boss and some other stages, making for a fairer challenge overall! Right? Right?? C'mon, this is your chance! Give it a go one more time.

- Additional keyboard mappings for dashing! You can now use any of the Ctrl, Shift, or Alt keys for this purpose!

- New co-op artifacts, for when you're playing with another person that, let's say, may not be totally familiar with the game! For example, you can recover the other player's life and stamina when you dispose of enemies yourself!

- Lower stamina consumption from elemental swords, so you can slash away more freely!

- Life and carrot bonuses between boss phases, for a more rewarding experience! Should also help you buy new equipment if you're stuck on a pesky boss.

- A more challenging Endless Mode after Wave 50, where enemies gain additional attack power! It should get you on your toes a lot more than before.

We’ve reduced the cost of using melee attacks while equipping an elemental weapon by half. Hack & Slash away!

In order to give a sense of progression and additional help for anyone who got stuck in a boss, we’ve decided to implement a bonus reward between every Boss phase.

These rewards are:


Health regeneration:

You now regenerate your hp based on your performance just like in a regular stage.

Carrots:

The player now receives a determined amount for clearing a phase of a boss.

This allows the players to keep focusing on fighting the boss while still being able to afford other options on the shop.

Additional rewards were implemented:

+100 combo: +18 Hp

+200 combo: +20 Hp

Increased enemies HP by 33% when playing with a friend.

We’ve added an identification token that appears and helps the player find where his character is on screen.

This appears whenever the player moves too erratically or takes damage.

These tokens are color coded for each character and , when playing online, it only shows the player’s token.

Enemy PowerUp post wave 50:

After wave 50, enemy damage multiplier increases by 5% after every wave.


Additional Information:

Added a new constant wave counter on screen and a new Wave results screen that shows you which wave you were defeated.


His life and dodge-heavy movement style was frustrating so we’ve decided to tone it down a bit.

Decreased his Total Health by 20% on all forms


Movement Pattern

Increased the time window between his teleports and his “taunting” state.


Damage Output

Lowered the damage of most of his attacks.

His damage was hitting a little bit too hard and newer players were having a tough time dealing with him.

Reduced max stackable damage, but its still able to one shot many enemies. It was kinda ridiculous even for our standards haha.

Bug fixes and small tweaks.

[bug fixing]Player Stats Tracking:

Fixed a bug where the game would track an online player’s stats and affect the local player’s other character statistics.


Multiplayer Online Map flow:

Changes to the map navigation flow.

Players that are not in their turn no longer get stuck after selecting a stage.

Now they have to wait for the other player to pick a stage and then press a ‘ready to play’ button.


Optimization Changes:

Small performance fixes, Nintendo Switch experience enhanced.


VisualI Improvements:

World map ocean now has waves.


Keyboard Mapping Update:

We’ve added some new bindings in order to help left handed players or those who rather play using the arrow keys on the keyboard.

You can now dash using the Following Buttons:

Bugs related to end game cutscenes are now fixed.

Enemies and formation that has this movement pattern now bounce reliably off Barrier walls.
