Is this game a sequel to the normal House of Fata Morgana?

I have not played the "original" game, but plan to sometime.
Is this game supposed to be its sequel?
Normally steam would have them paired in a pack or bundle but i dont see this one with it (besides the one with all the soundtracks)

It's a prequel, basically the full backstory of two central characters that led them to become who they are. There is possibly a little bit that can serve as an epilogue to the original Fata Morgana, but Requiem for Innocence is for the most part a prequel.
