Yes. Possible and likely. Every patch fixes some things (occasionally) and breaks existing things that weren't broken (pretty much every time).
Makes sense to me (And I do have some level of programing knowledge.)
I just checked my own solo games history - zilch.
Although, I cannot remember my last solo game. I prefer to play a local game against a single AI opponent and run up the score and reach the "infinite game" state.
I'm encountering this same bug. The previous game saves are still there but the game is throwing an exception when it tries to parse the struct of the previous game save data. I've submitted a bug report and hopefully they fix this soon.

Historically the developers have not been adept at exception-handling or parsing. Well, perhaps their adeptness is not the issue, but rather, the amount of time allotted for playtesting and debugging. Regardless, the result has been an ongoing rough draft instead of a finished product.
Indeed the corporation icon is also gone from the game history, showing a white square instead. This whole history menu is a nightmare.
