Linux version please

I know that this game does not support Linux (because it uses DirectX), but since the main part of the game is written in Mono, I hope what possible to make a Linux version with translation of DIrectX requests to OpenGL, and it would be great (to people who like Linux and Cosmoteer), because to play through VirtualBox (or on Windows) is very unpleasant.

I'm definitely planning to do a Linux (and Mac) version, but that probably won't happen for a while longer. :/

FWIW, I hear that the recent versions of Cosmoteer work fine with Proton.

Hi Walt, what version of proton works best, I tried the latest two but it's just a matter of time before the game rolls over and plays dead.

Are you talking about Classic or the Modern demo?

Modern has some fixes and last I heard was running pretty great on the latest versions of Proton.

Hi i currently having issues running on Linuxmint 21.3. If there was an actual thread you could point me at( if it exists) that would be helpful. otherwise im running the game in proton(compatibility mode is on) and upon execution, the vulkan shaders load then the play button just turn green. is there a reccomended proton version, a launch error log, or some other set up steps that im recommended to perform?
