If you're meaning that package, where you get access to all the boards and characters, I agree. I know a foolish guy who paid for that--I see him every morning, in the mirror, ha, ha! Yeah, it's all a money grab.

Did the other games, like Sherlock, play differently with the broader characters?

Does the music/sound effects change?

No, game play doesn't changes, but everything else is different.
