its because the dev ran out of money, i think they tried releasing it as a last attempt to gain enough to finish the game.

You can play it and you can do the campaign. It has some flaws but it's a finished game. (There are other games with more bugs or even less "finished").

This was a great game, and I was able to play through the entire story.

There are a few bugs and unfinished bits, but all the bugs could get past by reloading a save so it wasn't a big deal.

I'd recommend this to anyone, there are too few good space games with ship interiors and stations to walk around on. This was a ton of fun.
