BATTLE BRIEF: PATCH 05

GENERAL CHANGES

* The Leaderboards have been reset
* 5 new custom skins have been unlocked for each faction
* Artillery now prioritizes Specialty Infantry over Basic Infantry
* Added the ability to extend the Path of a Unit that you are no longer pathing
* Slightly decreased the amount of damage the USA Artillery Barrage deals to Base Anti-Air
* Added short delay when pathing a unit before the unit starts to move, allowing for retargeting of units without moving them.
* Added ability to Toggle between Observer Mode & VR Mode in PC Builds via Desktop GUI. This is still in a "ALPHA" state and may still have issues we will be addressing.
* Permanent Price Drop!

DIVISION CHANGES

* All Divisions:
- USA Artillery Barrage and German V-2 Rocket abilities now cost $24
- The range of Mobile Anti-Air Units has been slightly increased

UNIT CHANGES

* Beaumont:
- Mortar Troops now take significantly more damage from Fighters and slightly more damage from Artillery
* Nickles:
- The Priest has had its health significantly increased and its rate of fire moderately increased
- The Priest now takes significantly more damage from Anti-Tank units
- The Priest now costs $24
* Simmons
- Heavy Bombers now take slightly more damage from Mobile Anti-Air Units and Fighters
* Von Ritter:
- The Medium Fighter (Henschel) has had its damage slightly increased
- The Medium Bombers now take slightly more damage from Mobile Anti-Air Units and Fighters
* Wulf:
- Tiger Tanks now take significantly more damage from V-2 Rockets
- The Walking Stuka (Artillery Truck) has had its damage increased moderately

BUG FIXES

* Removed REDStripe & BLUEStripe as options in the Customization Menu
* Fix for Unit Cap Warnings Labels not referencing correct Localization Key
* Fix for "Login Consecutive Days Achievements/Trophies" not properly tracking & firing
* Fixed "Waiting for Opponent" screen for custom matches saying "Unit Caps Off" when they are on
* Fixed "Player gets Stuck at PvP GUIs in Single Player Match if Opponent Declines Match"; this also fixes the same issue that occurs in the Tent
* Fixed an issue with the P-38 and ME-110 dealing extra damage; they have both had their damage output balanced to compensate for this
* Fix for P38 & ME110 Strafing shots dealing Damage to Air Units directly above the Point of Impact regardless of Distance from Impact
* Fixed Planes being pulled into a Dog Fight while they have a Direct Attack Target
* Observer Mode Fixes: Crash caused by Player 2 Looping Units Fixed, Both bases appearing Blue Fixed, Blue Team Units not Receiving Blue Stripe Skin Fixed, Observer not Receiving SFXs Fixed, & Observer not able to Exit Match after Completion Fixed

KNOWN ISSUES

* On Nickles first Story Campaign Mission, "Operation Iron Anvil" her Fighter Plane appears as an active unit that can be selected, when in reality it cannot be interacted with until the player collects their first War Chest

BATTLE PATCH 04

Big and best patch yet! Major updates to AI and balancing, along with bug fixing on many levels. We also have heard and answered your prayers by adding a "Remove Unit Caps" in custom games!

* Unit Caps can now be disabled in custom single player and multiplayer games. Unit Caps limit the total number of units a player can have at any one time. Turning off Unit Caps will allow a player to have as many units as they can afford.

GENERAL CHANGES

* Added leaderboard to the multiplayer menu.
* The Leaderboard standings have been reset.
* Fixed strafing bugs. Strafes can no longer include tight turns.
* AI improvements

UNIT CHANGES

* Beaumont's Flame Tank:
- Takes moderately more damage from Artillery.
- Deals moderately more damage to Towers.

* Beaumont's Mortar Troops:
- Increased overal damage significantly.
- Increased Health moderately.
- They now take significantly less damage from Light Tanks and Fighter Planes.

* Nickles Commandos:
- Takes slightly more damage from Towers and Artillery.

* Nickles Heavy Fighter (P-38):
- Increased damage moderately.

* Simmons Heavy Bomber:
- Now deals slightly less damage to HQ's and their Health has been slightly lowered.

DIVISION CHANGES

* All Divisions:
- Tier 3 Anti-Air units now cost $15 for every Division.

* Beaumont:
- The Artillery now costs $12

* Nickles:
- The Infantry Troop Trucks now cost $7.
- The M7-Priest has had its cost reduced to $20.

* Von Ritter:
- The Infantry Troop Trucks now cost $7.
- The Heavy Fighter (Henschel) is now on Tier 2 and costs $11; it's overall power level has been reduced.
- The Halftrack MG is now on Tier 3 and costs $13; it's overall power level has been increased.

* Wulf:
- The Artillery now costs $12

* Fixed stuttering plane movement in multiplayer.
* Fixed a bug in the matchmaking system that could cause players to not be able to find matches.
* Fixed map thumbnail images on new maps.
* Fixed some incorrect mission text.
* Fixed a bug causing some units not to run and gun when they should.
* Fixed bug causing units to sometimes spawn with less than full health.
* Fixed some matchmaking bugs resulting in connection lost errors.
* Fixed issues with various vehicle engine SFX audio not playing.

PATCH: 03 VANGUARD DLC

Thank you everyone for your patience on getting some of these issues addressed as we launched our Vanguard DLC and PSVR port. We have identified and fixed some of the core issues that players have been finding including the AUDIO ISSUE with the Oculus. Thank you again for all the support and attention to the DLC and helping us fix any and all issues we can in a timely manor. Any issues that do come up, please report them here or on our discord and we will address them asap!
We are also reviewing all input and suggestions on balancing across the board and hope to narrow down priorities and get them into the next patch. Again, hit up our Discord for input and feedback as well.

FINAL ASSAULT is coming to the PSVR

INVASION BEGINS MARCH 31

We announced today the launch date of MARCH 31st for FINAL ASSAULT to the PSVR. [/b][/i][/h1]
Players are invited to jump into the battle with single player campaigns, skirmishes, and Cross-Platform PvP action. You read that right, players can now play against their friends (and foes) on the PSVR, Oculus and HTC HMDs in Cross-Platform Player vs Player combat!
With this launch also come to ALL PLAYERS- new maps and new units!
This is just the beginning with future support, balancing, and DLCs to come! We hope that by inviting the PSVR players our PVP que will be full and give everyone a chance to experience the battle!

New updates coming your way with full military support!

CHANGES

(Map) Chateau Tod line of sight issues addressed: long range sniper vehicles can no longer shoot through the rocks on the map edges.
German Hetzer Tank Destroyers and American Anti-Tank Guns now deal less damage to Towers.
American Mortar Infantry have more health and fire slightly faster.
Towers take significantly more damage from the U.S. Artillery Barrage.

BUG FIXES

Fixed issue where if the Final Assault game window became out of focus players could experience performance degrade.
Improvements to Strafing/Bombing.
Wulf Mission 04 is now winnable on Veteran Difficulty.
The Tiger Tank in Nickles Mission 02 now paths around the map reliably.
German Artillery now takes correct damage from anti-armor units.
AI Improvements to Nickles and Von Ritter.
Achievement synchronization fixes

KNOWN ISSUES

When spawning new units, a unit will occasionally teleport to the spawn location instead of pathing from the HQ to the spawn point. We are working on a fix.

PERFORMANCE: WE’RE AWARE OF AN ISSUE THAT MAY DEGRADE PERFORMANCE IF YOUR FINAL ASSAULT WINDOW IS NOT IN FOCUS ON YOUR PC. WE SUGGEST PERIODICALLY CHECKING TO MAKE SURE YOUR WINDOW IS IN FOCUS TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING. THIS IS A KNOWN UNITY ISSUE, WITH AN UPDATE AND FIX COMING SOON.

NEW UPDATES:

* Matchmaking Search Preferences: Allows players to filter matches based on distance to opponent (ping) and skill difference to opponent.

CHANGES

* Base Anti-Aircraft guns deal more damage and now fire an area of effect attack.
* The Heavy & Medium Bombers now deal less damage to HQs.
* The Heavy & Medium Bombers now deal more damage to Towers.
* All units can now path freely through the forested area in Forests Edge.
* All Campaign Missions have been rebalanced for all difficulties to be easier.

THE BATTLE HAS BEGUN!

WELCOME TO THE BATTLE!

Final Approach is now live featuring six divisions of US and German forces, 14 Multiplayer Maps, single player campaign and skirmish modes, and of course full multiplayer PVP! But wait, there's more!

UPDATES FOR LAUNCH

TUTORIAL:
The tutorial has been expanded to explain more game features, including artillery, anti-tank guns, troop trucks, and the pullout tabs on the clipboard.

NEW SKIRMISH MAPS:

At the end of the Skirmish campaigns players will play on one of two unique maps: Berghof or Breckon Harbor.

CAMPAIGN:

All Campaign Story Modes are now available! All 6 Commanders have their own Story Campaign to play through.

CUSTOMIZATION:

Customize your units, gloves, hats and even your own battle flag!

DIFFICULTY LEVELS:

Difficulty settings for the campaign objectives have been tweaked to more accurately reflect the player's chosen difficulty settings.

DRAG SPEED:

New options for drag momentum have been implemented.

LEADERBOARDS:

The Leaderboard has been reset.

ACHIEVEMENT:

Now all achievements are unlocked

We are excited to get you into the battle, but we also know that we still have some work to do.

KNOWN ISSUES:
There are a few known issues that we are working on, such as units sometimes firing across the map, and units sometimes teleporting to their spawn location instead of driving their from the HQ. These are currently being looked into, and should be fixed soon.

AI:
We feel that the AI is at a really good spot right now, but will be constantly learning and growing as we move forward. Through your comments and suggestions it will only get better and offer more variety in the single player matches.

PATHING:
We are constantly testing and watching our discord for any pathing issues that may arise on various maps. As the game progresses, these issues will arise and we will address them as fast as we can.

Thank you to everyone that has been with us from the beginning of Final Assault. It has been a long and fun journey that we could not have accomplished without your support and participation in our Beta and Early Access. Please know that this is only the beginning for Final Assault. We have laid the groundwork with your help and input, the game will only get bigger and better! NEW BUILD PATCH NOTES

* Galland’s Story Campaign is now available.
* Steam & Oculus Achievements have been activated.

CHANGES
* The U.S. Anti-Tank Gun is now a (very slow) mobile unit.
* Unit health bars now display as BLUE for your team and RED for the enemy.
* We have expanded the tutorial and now explain more game features.
* The Unit Info Pull Out tab on the clipboard has been updated.
* AI changed how it decides what to spawn next.
* Voice over dialogue updated for Simmons, Nickels, Wulf, Von Ritter and Galland.
* Units put into a loop have a more visible effect.
* Health bars over bases auto-hide when you are near them so they won’t block your view of the game.

BUG FIXES
* War Chests now drop correctly.
* Unit pathing improvements on Stronghold. Units no longer attempt to path through the ponds to get to the War Chest drop locations.
* Campaign Victory/Defeat Conditions Fixed.
* The AI will no longer spawn large amounts of planes and keep them over its base.
* The Artillery will now prioritize Infantry units over Towers.
* Fixed a bug with the AI that prevented it from seeing War Chests that were sitting next to one of its units.
* Fixed issue with multiplayer reconnect code not firing when player loses connection to Platform Services (Steam/Oculus/Viveport) or Phaser Lock Matchmaking Servers.

KNOWN ISSUES:
* Artillery/Bazooka Troops/Probably other Units will sometimes fire across the entire map.
* Tutorial VO is temp and will be updated
* When spawning new units, a unit will occasionally teleport to the spawn location instead of pathing to it from your HQ.
* Some temporary VO is still in the game.
* German Fighter plane missing team colors on clipboard.
