FUSIONROCKER's Objection Themes[drive.google.com]
A lot more is needed for the T&T OST though.
Well, I do not have a Nintendo Switch, so no idea. For testing, [[here's a decrypted bgm008.unity3d]] (link removed, was only shared for temporary testing). It's the song for the courtroom lounge that you can test immediately in the very first case of AA. Try this one only, see if there's any difference?
The main issue here is that the unity3d files (at least on PC) are encrypted. So first you need to decrypt them, then do the modification, then re-encrypt the files. Here is a tutorial[drive.google.com] I wrote recently, which describes my method (figured this out after some trial and error).
So same behavior as before.. Yeah, it's not easy to troubleshoot.
[[Here are some further bgm008.unity3d files for testing]] (temporary link removed). Could you send me the Switch's bgm008.unity3d?
To my surprise, all of the files from the link worked correctly. If you still want it, here[drive.google.com] is the Switch's bgm008.unity3d.
That's good to hear. I found one character difference here[drive.google.com]. So after a little hex editing, here's JTPaper's Music Mod for the Nintendo Switch[icedrive.net]. Please test and say if it's OK, as I have no idea if that little change really did the trick (for the rest of the BGMs). I will do the other music mods too eventually and edit the first post when done.
Edit: Rather than that, I'll leave this link[github.com] in this post for other Ace Attorney music mods, as it's not related to PC.
EDIT: I did forget to mention a small thing, the folder structure is romfs/Data/StreamingAssets/etc. rather than romfs/StreamingAssets/etc.
Not yet, but it would have made the most sense, after all. I will look into it more, since I also wanted to, but was busy with other things. Only question is, what source material would be the best to use for it? From a different port, could there also be better sounding SFXs? It could be more than just the BGMs... Need to do more research here.
So you tried each music mod and it's always muddy? Overlapping frequencies that clash with each other, and you can't hear all the individual parts? The solution seems to be proper sound selection of instruments and percussion that can separate well (layered in a harmonizing way). I guess you can't expect much from hobbyist or amateur musicians. Changing the tunes and trying to "beef it up" can quickly make it imbalanced and lead to generally bad arrangements that may sound distasteful to listen to.
