The bridge is not supposed to extend. You have to continue along the side you're on.

I know. It's been months since I had that problem. The game, however, feels like it's dragging itself in playtime. Currently at the level past the Dragon.

So how did I continue along the same side? The bridge didn't extend as it's not supposed to extend. I don't know which version of the game you're playing but I played the Steam version.

But yeah, keep restarting the map if it makes you feel better. :)

Same problem here. Did it work to restart the chapter? To be honest, I'm not in the mood to play this map again, when I can not be sure that the bug will be fixed then.

I'm stuck on this too, I think I bugged the game out to beat it years ago

Finally the bridge worked.
I guess you had a flamer in some hiden place right before you reach the bridge, then dont even pick it up and dont even look at that place.
Ignore all hidden place if you didnt.
If you say " What flamer?" then, I cant help you :(

I had this same issue, but I realized the problem was that only one extendable bridge can be activated at a time in any given level. Every extendable bridge has a button on the other side to cause it to retract. Once I made sure to retract every extendable bridge after crossing, each bridge worked perfectly.
Otherwise activate god mode and physics your way up to the other side.

hmm weird i never had this issue, but i heard if the bridges dont work at all the u can exit the mec suit and walk along the laser fence near the rail. havent tried that but heard u could and that would allow u to progress.

This problem will never be fixed.
But yes, you can get out of the mech and move along the edge to the continue the level.
Sadly, if you want the bridge to work, you need to retract the previous one... and you can only do that by starting the level and doing it right the first time... And you wont know to do that untill you run into this problem... at which point you are 30 minutes in and blocked by several autodoors,.. so getting out and walking along the platform edge is the best easiest solution.

Before i launched the game i watched a review, and the author of that video mentioned that there can be only one bridge active in the level, so i remembered to retract the first one, but i still had the problem
