this is a game that deserves to be remade, or should have created a sequel..

i think necrovision deserved better, looking back from the ppl who made painkiller… it has some interesting ideas & gameplay aside from the janky era it came out during mid 2000s
I love Necrovision, it's a deranged mash-up of lots of games, I agree it is one of the most underrated shooters of all time, even the prequel which set up zimmerman being the main bad, was goofy but in a wolfenstein story way it was cool… seeing the many vampire factions, & the bosses,

sadly with how stuck the game industry is now, i would've loved to see the farm or another studio remaster this game, give it new weapons better graphics, tie up the 3 endings better, explain which ending would be canon.

its not without flaws but i enjoyed the world it was set in, although the first half is really slow, i had fun shooting way through the hoards of enemies it gave me. This isn't a game you enjoy for the tightness of the mechanics though this is a game that throws ideas at a wall and you can get enjoyment of seeing how a small fraction of them end up sticking.

So, the first half of the game is generally a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ WWII-ish shooter that's sometimes extremely hard for some reason. think zimmerman should have foretold a prophecy explaining why mephisto would rule the land between hell & earth. its not a bad game but i wish they cleaned it up a bit…. also if they did remaster it add achievements so we can get better progress or fix the crashes.

(side note) ye i know witch fire came out, but i hope painkiller comes back some day to scratch this games itch. ☹️ its a shame this… game prolly wont come back. the prequel was fun too. too many old fps games lost to time.

also halfway through the story they possess advanced technology (including giant robots), that are very mystical, & was weird seeing the game give you a mech to control or kill the bosses with, this definitely felt ultra janky & would be cool if they added finishing touches too.

i dont know how they would create a sequel maybe go doom 2016, with demon kills or headshots, show us what happens to simon, maybe he returns to be a human or maybe he makes a deal with the devil, too live out his last days. would be cool seeing these games return to glory.

I liked both games but I don't get why lost company always gets a bad rep. By I don't get it, I mean I don't understand why Everytime I look at opinions on the two first one is more favorable. And the first one did have a better protagonist but whatya expect from a German nationalist? Did ya expect him to be a likeable character? But as far as gameplay goes, like I say like both games and I wouldn't even of played lc if the first one wasn't so good. But that said, gameplay wise first one had issues at points, while the 2nd one was pretty solid and consistent on gameplay. First one I really don't get some of the choices, like taking our weapons away, especially the sniper what's the point of dropping a sniper? Sniper didn't even have a good replacement. And by the time you got to the dragon well...Dragon level was not fun, the dragons weapons were not effective, and it's an irritating slog. Not bashing necro as 1 level doesn't take away from everything else. But lcs plane level was way more exciting, epic, and fun. The tank was also fun, new weapon additions, new enemies, and they didn't take crap away from you. I think lc was better than the first one. Maybe not in narration and lore but certainly least imo on gameplay it greatly improved. Both are good games however and I recommend everyone start at necrovision. But lc was a fine game and a great xp. Also it was a little unusual for letting you play a questionable character. And in some ways he wasn't totally evil. WW1 was not the same as WW2 and a lot of Germans felt like they were justified in defending their country after the assassination of Ferdinand. He really was just fighting for his country, but his methods were sinister especially to other nations.

It's an odd point in lc where he teams up with the American. But they showed each other proper respects in the situation they were in.

it makes me wish it had more dlc…. like painkiller has a bunch of games with dlc, & other arena shooter games like doom 2016 were respected because they gave the game a very nice aesthetic, mowing down enemies for a better experience hell even serious sam, a franchise that is more goofy then doom just let players be in that playground…

its a fun game… even tho civvie called it janky it has charm.
id love it if they bundled a new painkiller & necrovision as a remaster. but sadly it seems to have been forgotten which sucks. 😞

Well that's why it makes a great gift on sell I always try to spread it around.
Mght have to try painkiller one day.
