I hate to leave a negative review given how much I loved the first game, but I did not enjoy this sequel. The cons are many while the pros are few and far between. This is yet another game sequel where the devs did not realize why people liked the first. Without further ado:

Pros:
Some of the names of cops are fun references to the previous game, such as Burch III
There are some fun new excuses for missing work
The tactical assault missions are new and most are pretty fun

Cons:
Not being able to choose the music for the day sucks
The town map constantly moving/zooming in and out was obnoxious and at times confusing
Tagging people for an assault mission left them unavailable and useless even 4 days away from the assault
The necktie assault mission is so bs hard to be perfectly stealthy that I've rage quit at that point multiple times
Jack is entirely unlikable and at this point sociopathic to the point of being unrelatable. The first game you could decide how much he was a mafia yes man vs sticking to being moral, this game he's despicable regardless of player decisions.
Needing to meet a professionalism point requirement before you can send a team out instead of being able to send out a team probably not good enough and seeing what happens.
Every single ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ call needing me to make executive decisions. I just want a few calls a day that are simply send out the force then later learn what happened and how they did.
Not having detectives. Having to decide between using smart officers for detective cases or keeping them available for patrol cars was kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥. I much preferred the old system
The loyalty system. It was too easy to lose loyalty (you didn't make the right lunch decisions even though the one you made was more expensive, which you paid out of pocket, and what someone else wanted) and too hard to gain it.

Overall I'd say to skip this game even if you loved the original. If you really really loved the first game then maybe spend a few bucks on this one on sale but keep expectations low.

The game is alright, the story falls a bit off compared to the first game. I still like the Tactical missions a lot, and the potential Competition against Carter could have been pretty fun! The stakes technically exist but you have to perform *really* poorly for you to be beaten by him - and if you are performing that poorly, you're headed to a gameover anyway.
