It's far too early for a third game

I think there will be a third. Maybe after 2 - 3 years. There is very little chance that we will be playing as Jack Boyd again. There also could be a game with the same gameplay concept, but not about police.

The second part will not work.

This is the police 3 could move up to federal investigator: FBI or something similar. The scale of corruption and the investigations involved could make for a fantastic experience as the player leads officers to take down terrorists, gets embroiled into large scale corruption schemes and all sorts of shenanigans that would make this is the police 1 and this is the police 2's events seems like chump change.

It would obviously require a new protagonist.

New protagonist could be his son, getting dragged into the filth while trying to do the right thing.

You know that sounds like a good idea actually. Maybe the one who wanted to accept Emma's help and goes into the police business to figure out where he is and what happened to him, only to realize what a monster Jack has become at that point and trying to take him down.

Before that, I would like some more updates for TITP2 though. The devs said they were working on something challenging some time ago.

I assume you find Dark Souls too difficult

Personally, if I'd have to choose an existing character as the protagonist of a sequel. I'd choose the federal investigator you meet during the dentist case in the first one. Playing him and possibly having the opportunity to take down Jack could be a great way to end a trilogy.

Well... we still need to see him close out the him & emma story, yes it was left at a phonecall. And what? How does he do away with her? What about how things are going with him as police chief? Also, his friend he phoned? Surely he can find where Jack is so that loose end isn't closed either. There's still more they can do with Jack's story. I'd be interested to see it personally.

There could be the storyline of his son tracking him down within that. You never know. I'd like to see a third installment...

However... if they're gonna do assaults again or exapand on them in it.... PLEASE nothing like the necktie one without any quicksaves. I completely lost my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mind with that one.

I'm very sure this is the end. Jack Boyd is now a bad guy and they would want him to stay that way. But yeah, I wouldn't mind a sequel. I do enjoy the story.

Some one in my “hard mode” discussion said a third game would be done in a few days.
