Tried playing the campaign starting in 182 with Liu Bei. As soon as you take your first town, you start losing thousands of gold each turn, and constructing building in towns does not help. I understand losing a bit of money, or not making much in order to make the game challenging, but this is straight up unplayable.

Attempted to save money by hiring militia only, and you still end up losing over a thousand each turn once you take your first town. This was clearly not tested properly, or was tested by someone who already knows every trick in the game, and does not reflect a new player's experience.

The game also seems very much like a train track experience, with you having to follow in the exact path it wants without the freedom like you had in previous Total War games. So much potential, yet disapointing so far.
