Liu Xie missing in Mandate of Heaven campaign?

I am playing a Han Empire campaign in the Mandate of Heaven campaign. I have progressed to the turn where the emperor (Liu Hong) dies and Empress He becomes the regent of the eldest prince (Liu Bian). However, I have noticed that the youngest brother Liu Xie (the emperor in the other campaigns) is missing. Is this a bug? I wanted to name Liu Xie heir once Liu Bian comes of age.

Also, shouldn't Dong Zhuo have vassalised my faction in year 190? Right now he has become independent from the empire, and Empress He continues ruling the empire.

As far as I understand, MoH campaign is a short one. It has a campaign limit where, you need to quell the rebellion before it reach a certain date. Hence, you won't be able to play the campaign past the 190. I reckon CA got lazy and hence the campaign limit.

Well, I have managed to continue playing beyond 190, I destroyed the 3 Zhang brothers around 192 and obtained the campaign victory. I plan on continuing playing to restore the Han empire's former glory, but I would like to know what happened to Liu Xie. I have loaded older saves and he disappears from my family tree when Liu Hong) dies and Empress He becomes regent. Could Liu Xie be in Dong Zhuo's faction?

The issue has been solved, as soon as Liu Biao came of age and became emperor, Liu Xie came back to the family tree. It must either be an error on CA's part or they wanted Liu Xie to not be visible during his brother's regency.

I have discovered what has happened. When Empress He became regent (and thus faction leader), the family tree was updated to only include her direct descendants. Liu Xie is the son of emperor Liu Hong not by Empress He, but by Empress Linghuai. Therefore, Liu Xie was still part of my faction, but he wasn't displayed in the family tree because he wasn't directly related to Empress He. When Liu Bian came of age, Liu Xie came back to the family tree because they were half-brothers!
