I on the other hand had some of longest, largest and most intense field battles among all TW games when I played TW3K, I had one battle that my enemy outnumbered me 3:1( AI 10000+ vs me 3000+) , it took me over 50 minutes and lost 3/4 of my troops to win the battle, my generals 1 got killed, 1 got wounded, under hard difficult and extreme large unit size. I never had such battle in any previous TW games.
Difficulty, game modes, unit types, unit sizes and your own skills, even bias, all will affect how the battles perform and how much joy you can get in TW3K, not just morale. However, one thing I do think it's too short or easy is the siege battle, the wall is simply too easy to break through, but it's still more challenging and longer than WH. And of course besides all that is too many fake ugly none-historical female generals in TW3K(almost like a showcase of certain Western ideology), although it can be fixed by mods, WH obviously has better(and sexier) female fighters than TW3K, but that's another story.
But most people like it and it sold well, mods are the way to go if you want to change things.
There are a couple of issues there. The morale break is much faster in Rome 1 and Attila. 3K would be an average. Battles in 3k actually last too long, which ensures I win, easily, EVERY DAMN BATTLE. So I don't exactly know what your issue is. Is the morale system making your battles too hard?
