Heaven's Vault has a totally open structure, so you can pursue whatever lead you want, and tackle available storylines in any order.
So far so RPG, except that nothing in the story is separate from anything else - everything that happens can be affected by what's gone before; so the way you tackle one location might open up another, or not, or change what happens elsewhere; locations have multiple ways through, with multiple consequences, both big and small. Characters and discoveries in appear in multiple plotlines, can be with you or not, can like and trust you or not...
So - play once and have a great adventure; if you like it, play again, and it should keep itself feeling fairly fresh.
(But it'll be quite a long game - somewhere around the 15h mark is our current guess.)
If it's not too spoilery to ask, will the logograms map onto English grammar, or are you using a different grammar structure?
During prototyping, we tried a lot of different levels of grammatical craziness, and generally found minor changes to grammar produced really, really confusing puzzles (people would solve them, and still not be able to read them!)
So while our language is not quite grammatically English... it's pretty close. (But the way the words themselves are built is more interesting..!)
BTW Linux users can try running it using SteamPlay(Proton)

Not sure where (or even if) it's appropriate to ask about game features, so I hope it's cool if I post here... but it would be awesome to be able to adjust overall mouse sensitivity, not just for the scroll wheel. The mouse controls are so sensitive (at least, for me) that I end up spending lots of time spinning in circles, walking into corners, & wildly overshooting targets. Is this something you could add to the settings menu? Thanks so much!
Thank you so much! The game is so much more playable on my (outdated, lol) computer now! I'm on my first "New Game +" and absolutely thrilled to continue exploring the world you've created. Y'all rock. <3
