Just curious as to why this game doesn't have achievements yet is marked as having achievements on the store page. Given, I'll still play this game because I did thoroughly enjoy the first game. I missed when and why did this game became free?

I wonder why the publisher made this game free, now. I mean, it's wonderful that more people get to play and enjoy this series of games because they are amazing! I'm just wondering about the developer... I know they worked hard on their games and I'm aware that the publisher was not the best to ensure the developer's interests in making the games profitable and receive proper payment to be able to provide for themselves. What about achievements? On the store page it says there should be some but none popped up during playthrough or after I finished the game. The game has mostly positive reviews too.
