i played this game back when it came out on xbox360. A few years ago, when i was still using windows, i bought this and wanted to play. a few comparison videos on the tube, already told me as much, as i really don't like the remaster look. some things look better. yes. but some things look worse and they took out effects, that made the atmosphere in the game, the way it was. anyway. i installed the original. I just finished the original bioshock and after that i just realized that when buying bioshock the remaster also appears on your steam library, is it worth playing?, or is it literally the same but with better graphics?

I've been reading some Steam reviews, and some of the negative reviews have mentioned that this game requires you to be always online for a single player game as well as some of the graphical changes have lost some other details in the adaptation to the remaster version. So do I completely need to be always online and use a launcher or can I play offline? Or should I just get the original 2007 version?...

Which should I play? I know sometimes a remaster can sometimes fail to capture the feel of the originals art so I'm asking here
