BioShock

Original or Remastered?
Hello, I wanted to play Bioshock, but I don't know if I should the play the original or the remaster. I especially want to know which one plays better and has less issues

I'd go with original; for almost 20 hours of game, i haven't had a single issue. Remastered looks awesome, but for me, the graphics had to "load (?)", and some times the models looked weird. :blassaint:

Yep, despite everyone going on about it's water design, it also has a rather impressive Claymation mode when the textures don't load in like you said.

Remaster also has bad crashing issues
Original has better effects a lot of the time too.

Original has MUCH better graphics, artstyle, lighting. The atmosphere is much better. Remaster is dogwater

Lighting, textures and normalmaps are all downgraded on the remaster, some assets are changed too. Everything looks less organic and less realistic, and most importantly, far away from the original intended look.

Play the original with -dx9 and you will have no crashes

Remaster version makes my laptop fans scream mercy, but with the original, not a peep. And the original still looks and plays very nice, so I personally go with that one.
