No sound after plane crash
Hi,

somebody reported this problem before in a previous discussion. I have Windows 10 and there's no sound playing after the plane crash.

So I followed these instructions, but 'stereo mix' doesn't show up in my list:

On the bottom right hand side of your screen (in windows not in the game) you should see a speaker icon (in front of the time and date icon in the task bar). Right click on the icon and select "Recording devices".

Then you should get a new window that displays the Recording properties. You should see "Microphone" & "Line In" Listed in the list. There might be others but those are the two that showed up for me.

Then right mouse click in the blank space below the last listed device, for example it was Line In for me.

You should now get two options:
1. Show Disabled Devices
2. Show Disconnected Devices

Select number 1 (Show Disabled Devices) .

you should now see "Stereo Mix" in the list of recording devices.

All you should now have to do is right mouse click on the Stereo Mix Icon and click on enable.

Now restart the game and you should get sound.

If this doesn't work for you then it might be another problem, but this worked for me.

Can anybody offer some advice ? Thank you

I had same problem. I believe it needs to be launched in Windows XP compatibility mode to fix this.

I downloaded Bioshock Remastered (instead of the original one). It fixed the sound problem but now there's an issue with the graphics. The images are jagged (objects disappear and reappear)
