It's just the wrong sort of janky for me to enjoy it. The charity connection is nice, but the jittery controls, iffy hitboxes, and inconsistent framerate makes it unfun to play.

Also, if you do play, and you can't get the platinum trophies in the speedrun mode, force the framerate down, the timer is tied to the FPS for some reason.
