Hello gamers!

Firstly thank you to everyone that contributed to the Map Discussion I posted a couple of days ago, means a lot to get so much good feedback and conversation about the game.

Secondly we took the feedback and this update will be a kind of "Test" for the 300 maps. We have decided to go for 100 maps, so we will have 100 maps joining the current map pool, this will bring it to about 180-200. We added 85 maps from 2022 and about 15 that I made over the last week or so.

Enjoy and let us know if there are any issues, due to these maps being very old there are a lot of things that personally I don't like to use in current maps. This also means that C-Store is prior rework so there is no entrance, this likely will make C-Store even more attacker sided Please let me know if you see any VERY attacker sided maps and I will blacklist them.

Along with this update, we’re adding a very special backpatch in memory of our dear community member, Peter/Toast God, who we recently lost. To honour him, the patch is a piece of toast — a small but heartfelt tribute to someone who will always be remembered with love here.

Hello everyone! We are locked into the schedule for next season and we will be kicking off the next season with a DRAFT TOURNAMENT

This will be taking place over 2 weekend starting on the 20th of September and ending on the 28th of September!

Come sign up and play with a bunch of people you have never played with before, if you sign up remember to pick the role you would like. either captain or player, if we run out of captain slots we will auto move the rest to the player role. We will likely be getting 8 draft teams but if more people sign up then we can increase it.

The picks will happen a bit sooner than the tournament start to sign up before it closes!

Hello gamers! Tetra here, couple of questions:

1. How are you feeling about the new maps?

2. We are currently looking at maybe bring back Apr 2022-Oct 2022 maps back into rotation which would be about 300 ish maps, this would just bump the map pool up with maps that people might not have seen before but in general would just increase the pool a good amount. The question comes from the size download, the 300 maps would result in about 35 gigs of download, is this someone that you would be happy with/would be fine due to the map amount?

If anyone has any questions about map making then I'd be happy to answer them as well, I can turn this into a little AMA about map making so shoot away with questions!

I also have cooked up about 15 maps that will be coming monday (fingers crossed) we had a couple of issues with the build so it was unable to go out yesterday

Hello I'm back from vacation (Tetra) and so you should be seeing more regular updates from now on. BACK ON THE WEEKLY GRIND!!! Anyways this week is the DPL Season 1 Grand Finals and so for the finals we have curated 18 maps that will not be accessible until after the finals. These maps will join the pool immediately after the finals.

Firstly Congrats to Goblin Gang who won the 2v2 tournament but thank you everyone else for playing and competing, it was a very close tournament with a lot of crazy moment!

Second, this will be a no map update and along with that our resident map maker (Tetra) will be out of office for the next two weeks so there will be no new maps for the next couple of weeks with hopes that he's comes back ready to push out 1 million maps day one back.

Hello everyone! This will hopefully be the last monday update for a bit and they will head back to friday!

This week we add 10 new 2v2 map ahead of our 2v2 tournament (which you can still sign up for here[challonge.com])

Things we added:

The Torch has had its cutting speed increased on shutters, we felt that the shutters cut speed was just too slow and made a lot of slow downtime when a player was cutting for both the attacker and defender. The cutting time has gone from 10 seconds to 6 seconds. We hope this is just a nice QOL change that means the rounds feel a bit faster. To counter this change we have changed the torch fuel to 16 from 24 as if it kept it the same then players would be able to cut through shutters to enter and while that may be fun it would result in another charge in the hands of the attackers

• Tiebreakers are solved by the team that contains the highest damage dealer of the match
  
• Password matchmaking will used, passwords will be 2v2 followed by the first 2 letter of each team name i.e. ARISE vs Cave Dummies would be 2v2ARCA
  
• Matches will be played back to back with very little downtime as we will likely need to get through several games in a day

• All players must be in the Due Process Official discord[discord.gg]
  
• All players must also submit player.logs as soon as a match has finished
  
• Players must abide by the DPL rules
  
• If you are late to a match by 5 minutes then you will auto forfeit the match

Added 7 new maps: 1 5v5, 6 2v2

As like last week, we are buffing shotguns once again. We are seeing that the nerfs we put on were quite extreme and left shotguns players feeling a bit bored and left out. So we have once again increased the effective range of shotguns to be more lenient as well as changed the dropoffs numbers, the drop offs should feel less punishing. As well as this we are changing the player body part multipliers.

Head will stay at .1.4x
All upper body parts apart from hands will be 1x
All lower body and hands will be .75x

This should make everything feel a bit better and make shotguns not deal strange damage based on where you shoot.

• Removed puck cooldown as it felt not many spammed pucks and it just hindered planning

We have added 5 maps this week.


Shotguns have had a small buff. We felt that the shotguns were too inconsistent and so we have change the damage falloff graph to make the shotguns feel better at closer ranges. Before if you were to take a small step backwards the damage would change too much and so we have added a staircase falloff so damage will be more consistent.

We have also changed the shorty falloff to more represent something that we feel is of the secondary weapon category. Rather than the shorty being a mini Tub-12 it has a harsher falloff to make it more inline with the other secondaries. With this change we have reverted the change of the 2 shorty's and have readded the 4 shorty's in defender spawn.

This week we have removed all maps that were released on the Futureman Update. This will hopefully make the newer maps show up more often.

There are no maps this week as we have been working on the Shotgun nerf and Legros buff.

Shotguns have had their effective range reduced heavily, shotguns will no longer deal large amounts of damage when you are outside of a 2.5 tile range. This will mean that shotguns will have to show themselves in order to deal damage making them more clearable and more fair. This has affected all shotguns (Tub, Shorty, DL-20, Auto Shotgun).

Shotguns have also had their damage modifiers tweaked, they are now the following:

Head was 2 now 1.4
Torso was 1.5 now 1
Abdomen was 1.25 now .75
Upperarm was 1 now .75
Forearm was 1 now .75
Hand was 1 now .5
Thight was 1 now .75
Calf was 1 now .75
Foot was 1 now .5

This has reduced how much damage each pellet can do and so you must hit all pellets on the Tub to be able to kill someone with it. The strange 1.4 headshot multiplier is to make the gun have a skill shot where if you are able to hit all headshot pellets then the effective range will be increased slightly.

We have also removed two Shorty's from the defender rack and added two Gats to balance out the removal of the secondaries.


The Legros has had a small RPM tweak from 240 RPM to 260 RPM, this makes the gun feel a lot nicer and would allow for more shots to be put down range.

• Removed Match Count from loading screens and in-game, it will still be visible on player profiles and in the top right of the main menu
  
• Fixed Killhouse Stage hitboxes meaning that molotovs will now stay ontop of them and not fall through them resulting in almost invisible molotovs
