dimension vault

i just bought this game on pc after playing it for years on switch and it seems that i cant bringe back an item i already brought back with dimension vault am i just making a mistake somewhere or did they change it?

I was wondering about this to.

I always relied on the Dimension Vault to preserve the Blood of Srobeo for the hardest difficulties.

If you used an anvil on it then you cant bring it back ( the item should state whether it was modified ). Thats the only thing that would not allow you to bring it back.

That used to be the case, however now it extends to items that have been in the dimension vault before to.
