Merging Multiplayer between RealFlight 7, 8, and 9.

Going all the way back to RealFlight G2, RealFlight's multiplayer feature has always been sequestered by major version. Users with G3 cannot join a G4 session, RF6 users cannot join a G5 session, etc.

If you have RealFlight 7 or later, that is no longer the case! We merged the RF7, RF8, & RF9 multiplayer worlds such that they can all see and join each other's sessions.

New public versions 8.00.056 and 9.00.022 are available for RF8 & RF9, respectively. You must download them to participate in multiplayer.

RF7 does not require an update; RF7 users will be involved automatically.

Older versions of RealFlight (RF6 and earlier) will continue to work as they always have.

aircraft from Horizon Hobby, as well as exciting new features. These include
new SAFE/STS technology, a brand new training system, and support for the

Just bought RealFlight 8? No worries! Anyone who purchased RF8 on Steam
after 2PM Pacific time on July 15th, 2019 will automatically receive a copy
of RealFlight 9 shortly after it becomes available.

The Horizon Hobby Edition of RealFlight 8 is what almost everyone has been asking and waiting for! It adds the exclusive technologies and some of the most popular aircraft from the best brands in RC to the #1 RC flight simulator in the world, to deliver an experience you simply can't find anywhere else. There are two ways you can get it:

Already have RealFlight 8? Get the Add-On!
All of the Horizon Hobby Edition aircraft are included in RealFlight 8’s first DLC pack: The Horizon Hobby Edition Add-On. This package will update your existing RF8 copy to the Horizon Hobby Edition, including 13 new aircraft and 2 new challenges.

Buy the RealFlight 8 Horizon Hobby Edition
Once the Add-On is released, all new copies of RealFlight 8 will be the Horizon Hobby Edition. This package will include RealFlight 8 and the Horizon Hobby Edition Add-On. So if you’ve been waiting for RealFlight to include your favorite Horizon aircraft before you buy, your wait is almost up!

For more information on RF8 HHE, and the HHE Add-On, check out RealFlight.com. Both products will be released on Steam on October 29, 2018.

If you purchased your copy of RealFlight 8 after September 1st, 2018, you are eligible to get the Add-On DLC for free. We are still working on the mechanics of this, but will be working through it in the coming weeks.
