The widest the game will go is 1:1. If you want it to fill your screen, you have to rotate your monitor 90° in your system settings so it is taller than it is wide, then set the game to that aspect ratio. Then it will fill the whole screen. Of course you'll have to rotate your screen physically as well

This is on a laptop with standard full hd 1920x1080 which I believe is 16:9 aspect ratio and the game CLAIMS to support that but it literally doesn't work as far as I could tell. Is this by design you say?

The game says 16:9 but what it means with this is 9:16. Same goes for 4:3, this is actually 3:4.

so how do i make it fit my screen tho? if you please :)

just turn your laptop on its side. the game cant do 16:9 only 9:16 maybe you can trick your computer into displaying it correctly.. OK, I understand. Thank you.
