"Groove Coaster" Steam support information & FAQ

FAQ
Is this version of Groove Coaster based off the iOS version of the game?
This version of Groove Coaster was developed specifically for PC / Steam.

Does this game have an Offline Mode?
Yes and No. After activating the game online you can play offline for 7 days. Past 7 days you will need to reactivate the title by connecting online which will reset the 7 day offline play limit.

What control methods are supported for the Steam version of Groove Coaster?
Groove Supports the following control methods.
  • Controllers: Steam, PS4 DualShock, X-input (Xbox360, Xbox One), Direct Input controllers.
  • Keyboard: Menu navigation / In game play supported.
  • Mouse: Menu navigation supported. In game play not supported.

Will I be able to change the default Navigator character for the game?
Linka is currently the only navigator character for this game.

Known Issues
  1. [AMD] Missing backgrounds & timing issues
    Update 8/22 Fixed
    Please update your display driver to the latest available and let us know if that works.
    A Microsoft guide can be found here[support.microsoft.com] and the drivers can be found either here[support.amd.com] or on your PC manufacturers' site.
  2. Controller issues
    Currently being looked into. Workarounds here.
  3. Timing/audio/visual sync issues
    Please shutdown other apps/games before running the game and if the issue persists, please report to us with your specs and relevant details.
  4. Timing/audio/visual sync issues with AD-LIB targets
    As a workaround, in -> SHOP & SETTINGS -> SETTINGS - OPTION 1 -> SOUND VOLUME / SE, set the SE to 0 which will mute the AD-LIB effect sound in game.
    *Setting SE to 0 will also mute other in game SFX.
  5. Update 9/12 Fixed
    Steam achievements not unlocking after a crash
    Will be addressed in next update - Version 1.2.0
  6. Crashing / Freeze issues related to Creative brand sound cards
    As a workaround disabling the sound card seems to help resolve the issue.

If you are seeking technical support and none of the steps below have worked for you, send us an email and provide the following:
  • Your system specs (CPU, GPU, RAM, OS).
  • GPU driver version used. If you have multiple GPUs (for example in a laptop) please provide information for both.
  • Please provide clear information on what exactly happens when trying to play the game on your machine. Do you manage to get into the launcher or does your issue already happen before that? Does the game always crash at a specific point in the game, or randomly after a certain time?

First Things to Check
  • Do the usual - Install the latest Windows Updates and install the latest drivers for your graphics card/chipset.
  • Please keep in mind the minimum requirements for the game found on the store page.
  • Please disable any additional software that might be getting in the way.
    Various virus scanners are known to be problematic with a lot of games, so please try disabling them temporarily to see if it solves your problem.
  • If you are running the game activated via Steam, please verify all files are present on your PC correctly.Steam offers convenient functionality to verify your local files. Right Click on the game in your Steam game library, select 'Properties' > Select the 'Local Files' Tab, and then select 'Verify Integrity of Game Cache'. Steam will verify all your files and will re-download any required in cases there are corruptions.

Is it possible to link your Taito ID from the mobile version to transfer DLC purchases over? Also, will there be song unlocks with level ups or will all new songs be DLC-only?

Well, that 7 day login reguirement just took the game from a must buy to one that I will never buy unless policies are changed.

The Steam version of Groove Coaster is single player only.

At this time Groove Coaster for Steam is only available on Windows. We will be sure to update our fans both here on Steam or Twitter if there is any new information to share!

The Steam (PC) version of Groove Coaster does not support Taito ID or data transfer. Although there will be 4 songs in game to be unlocked by earning GC (in game currency) by playing songs!

The Navigator have CV (character voice)?
If yes the voice is English or Japanese version ?
(Like arcade ver. overseas only have English CV)

Hi there, by changing the language settings to either English or Japanese will also change the navigators voice to English or Japanese. But there is no separate option to just change the navigators voice alone.

Wait, what, why? I feel like it's being implied that I'm some kind of criminal whenever restrictions like this appear. I can understand for multiplayer games for obvious reasons, but why this? Legitimate question.

EDIT: Oh, I see Space Invaders Extreme was worse and online only. Both games happen to be created by Taito. I see what's happening here. Let the people involved in this decision how I feel, please.
