I'm trying to get a feel for how many people actually play this game. My current impression based on the steam statistics is that it has a tiny but very dedicated player-base and developer who are keeping the game alive despite its age and lack of mainstream appeal. Have I stumbled upon a 'cult classic'? Is there perhaps a discord or website where players connect outside of steam?...

In an ideal world this will be my final DB. It will be perfect. Um, wait, it will be pretty good and have both 'normal' and monster like EAI, (Scripted AI). Current Status Started a new DB based on the 'Enhanced' set. 0742--PUMA aka 'PUMA' or 'The DB' and variations there of. Copied IN to EAI_IN and created graphic, (via Google Gemini) and 'MS Paint 3D) All units including Standard, EAI, and Human (special units) will have to be modded to deal with the EAI. Balance build time and features...

Goal: Create a Scripted EAI that will not attack human, ( ), controlled units and cities. Purpose: 1) Just for the fun of it 2) Add a variation to play. Most likely these wouold be '3 unit EAI'., (IN, FI, TR) Possible Solutions 'Don't Bother MAN' Would this line in the ROE work? [(A)(PLY)(EQ)(MAN)] That would be the cleanest solution. I miss the old PBM days :) LOVED perfect general I & II, and empire dont mind playing against AI, but wondering if worth it. if still works via email(as life can get in the way & email saves you :) if anyone still plays (not into making mods/maps etc player from wayyyy back :) any feedback appreciated ps any info on perfect general I & II ? one of the BEST pure tactic turn base games :)...
