Игра ужасная, непонятно для кого и для чего она создавалась. Ужасное управление авто, хуже начала сюжета нужно поискать.

Gave it a chance when it was only roughly 8 $, i loved the previous games (except "Gat out of Hell") and hoped for a a classic reboot.
Shame it absolutly sucked, even months after release it was full of bugs, broken AI, and straight up unplayable. Story was somewhat interesting in the beginning, but i started watching videos on my second screen after only one hour because it just got repatative and boring. But to be honest, it was unplayable anyway in the first mission because it was just way too bright for no apparent reason, it suddenly fixed itself after restarting four times with no apparent reason or solution, ("to quote Todd Howard: It just works) and did not appear again in the last 30 minutes before refunding it. Usually i just dont refunbd games under 10 bucks, but this was just not worth keeping.

I just hope the keep Saints Row where it is supposed to be: 6 feet under and in good memorie.

On its face, I support the idea of rebooting the Saints. I teethed on SR2 and loved the ♥♥♥♥ out of it, but the franchise definitely jumped the shark somewhere between dildo-swords and saints-in-space. This series worked when it felt grounded and the stakes were real, even when the vibe was wacky and poking fun at GTA. I still think about Carlos's death, so I was really rooting for the Saints to make a comeback here. THIS GAME, however, is not it.

Core gameplay is fine for a GTA clone, but nothing really fresh or interesting to speak of.

The story is just nothing. It explicitly somehow takes only two months for you to stumble your way into controlling all organized crime in the city. The villains are all 2d and interchangeable (some of them are literally nameless and faceless). The "twist" ending is loudly broadcast from the first moments of the game and yet still manages to feel like it comes out of nowhere. The core gang is actually kinda cool and the dialogue did get a chuckle or two out of me, but it just doesn't go anywhere meaningful.

The progression is whack and feels like none of the systems were made to work together. A very simple mechanic that worked well in SR2 was that you had to complete side missions to increase your reputation and weaken other gangs SO THAT you could move the main story forward. As you got stronger and wealthier, you took control and were able to enact new big plans. It may have been a little grind-y but you could see the changes across the map as enemies were replaced with allies in different neighborhoods and it felt like you were really having an impact. This game has TONS of side missions but none of them matter and the incentives for completing them are mostly cosmetics or another food truck for my already-bloated garage. The main reward for beating the story is unlocking a new store where everything costs 1 million dollars, but, in the time it took me to beat the game, I never had anywhere near that amount of money, and I wasn't interested in grinding for the amount of time it would take to get it.

The experience as a whole feels almost unfinished, like they had to scrap all the real content due to budgetary or time restraints. Another example: There is a fair amount of "hidden history" in the game that actually does some interesting work to imply a shared setting between the old and new continuity, but that's another thing that just doesn't go anywhere.

I got this in a bundle and played it for nostalgia's sake, but I don't think most people will get much out of Saints Row besides another sandbox to kill a few hours in.
