Game won't let me save worlds and sync is stuck at 10%
I have continually had an issue with the game syncing since January. Normal inventory assets will sync fine but whenever I try and import and save a world the sync gets stuck at 10% and will never proceed pass this point. I have tried clearing the cache folders, doing the force cloud sync command in steam properties, the delete unsynced command in steam properties. My WiFi is ridiculously fast, all my hardrives have ample space on them, I have tried talking to one of the mods who refused to even attempt to help me. I have absolutely no idea how to solve this issue, not any idea as to why it is only when creating and trying to save worlds that this is happening. I have even tried a simple world with only an image in it to see if it will save and it still gets stuck and stays at 10% I don't understand why this happens but other assets save. Any advice is appreciated. Don't tell me to try the commands again, or uninstall and reinstall, or move the game to a different drive because I've tried that as well

I would recommend joining our Discord server (found at https://discord.gg/NeosVR) and asking in our help channel

Hello, I have on several occasions and we haven't managed to get to the bottom of it. I posted this here hoping one of the developers could look into it for me. It's very frustrating because I just want to build a world and explore.

In order to fix this, I had to delete the NeosVR folder in appdata locallow or roaming, I forget which. I lost my 29 items waiting to sync, but presumabley next time I save something, it will actually save.
Just for future refrence to help anyone with this issue, as of april 2023 the folder you want to delete is the Neosvr folder in appdata/LocalLow/Solarix/Neosvr
hope this helps someone

The fix to this problem is to add -RepairDatabase to the Steam launch option. Immediately after starting Neos, remove the launch option as it takes a few minutes and you don't want this running every time you start. I have since learned the best way to prevent this sync error is to exit Neos using the exit option which ensures everything is synced before closing.

Does this still work? Currently Migrating over to Resonite; still experiencing the sync issue.

Yes, however, Resonite stopped some or all of it's Neos migration features November 8th. So if you are migrating your inventory to Resonite and having errors from Resonite's migration system, you'll need to transfer your inventory manually using the LocalStorage mod, and then you'll then have to check the URLs and make sure nothing in pulling from the Neos database. If it is, you'll need to save whatever those references are individually.

I'm hoping it won't be that bad, but even so, the database syncing issue with Neos only prevents you from saving new items to the cloud.
