Nope, it wasn't that.
But I kinda figured it out after a while and it's basically the last thing i've typed: "... or does a stat increasing skill not work if I equip a weapon where this increase originates from?"
Basically, if you get a stat increasing skill from a weapon, it only works while not equipping that weapon.
It's the case with many other weapons.
All skills on weapons are always active for no SP cost, if you have it active and equip a weapon with the same skill it will give you a message.
The description "Increase due to equipment blabla" refers to what I said, you will not get 5% more p.def from your body armor, only the characters true base attributes.
Yeah, but the thing is, I won't get any buff at all if I have this weapon equipped.
Even if it comes with said skill, I won't get the Agility bonus from the Hand Axe as long as it's equpped.
It stayed at 152 with and without it equipped, and I only got the bonus while using a completely different weapon.
So yeah, despite getting the bonus from the weapon, it isn't applied as long as I use the weapon.
I know how the system works and that skills are automatically active, if I use a weapon with that skill... but that simply doesn't apply to stat buffs.
