Question about "Evade" skill on "Hand Axe":
Heyho, just a small question cause I don't get the effect of this one skill together with said weapon.

When you equip a weapon, you auto-equip its skills without spending SP.
When you still wanna spend SP, the game informs you that the skill is already on the weapon.

So fine so good.
But what about "Evade" together with the "Hand Axe"?
It's supposed to give me 5% more agility.
Well... it does, but only when I equip another weapon.

I have 152 Agility without that skill, and 157 with this skill active.
But when I have the "Hand Axe" equipped, it stays at 152, no matter if I spend SP to activate that skill or not.

The description also mentiones: "Increase due to equipment not effected", whatever that means.
So is this a bug or does a stat increasing skill not work if I equip a weapon where this increase originates from?

Maybe it is because the hand axe has lower agility than other weapons, and equipping it increasing its agility to the same number as the other weapon that you used?

Nope, it wasn't that.
But I kinda figured it out after a while and it's basically the last thing i've typed: "... or does a stat increasing skill not work if I equip a weapon where this increase originates from?"
Basically, if you get a stat increasing skill from a weapon, it only works while not equipping that weapon.
It's the case with many other weapons.

Stat increases are based on the characters base stats, not the stats with items equipped.
All skills on weapons are always active for no SP cost, if you have it active and equip a weapon with the same skill it will give you a message.
The description "Increase due to equipment blabla" refers to what I said, you will not get 5% more p.def from your body armor, only the characters true base attributes.

Yeah, but the thing is, I won't get any buff at all if I have this weapon equipped.
Even if it comes with said skill, I won't get the Agility bonus from the Hand Axe as long as it's equpped.
It stayed at 152 with and without it equipped, and I only got the bonus while using a completely different weapon.

So yeah, despite getting the bonus from the weapon, it isn't applied as long as I use the weapon.
I know how the system works and that skills are automatically active, if I use a weapon with that skill... but that simply doesn't apply to stat buffs.

The skill is already active, check your equipped skills. There are also a few weapons with agility on them as weapon stats. It's applied with the hand axe. You probably get the scimitar or rapier at this point which have 10 to 15 agility as a weapon stat.
