Problems using the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller in battle
Just to make it clear, I have absolutely no problems using the Pro Controller outside of battle for menus, and running around the overworld. I only get problems when I enter battle. When in battle, I have extreme button delay, and the game doesn't recognize any of my inputs. I thought it was because I was connected wirelessly, but nope, hardwiring with a usb-c cord doesnt work either. I'm really stumped and I'd rather fix the issue than resort to using keyboard controls.

Try mess around with the in-game button config setting in the option menu.

Hey, I was having this exact same issue and I think I finally found out how to fix it after MONTHS of trying! It seems some games just have a really really bad interaction with the Switch Pro controller's rumble, so going into the controller preferences in the steam controller settings and turning off Haptics and Rumble seems to have fixed things for me! :Colette2:

I was having problems with my Switch pro controller too. At first it didnt read at all, then it had very clunky button delay, then it kept disconnecting everything rumble kicked in. My fix was to just use my other controler

Like I said in my last reply, if you just turn off the rumble and haptics in steam configuration, everything should work just fine! Been playing the game happily with the switch pro controller with absolutely no issues at all since I found it out. :NorminOrange:

Hey, how do I turn the rumble and haptics off in order for the switch controller to work?

Under "general controller settings" in the steam settings, with your controller connected, there should be an option for preferences for your connected controller. It'll be right there.

I gave up on trying to figure out the pro controller solution. Ended up using my dualshock ps4 controller.

If I get the urge to do another run of vesperia I'll try the methods you guys posted.
