PETITION to REMOVE **RAIN** on Train
Boys... Listen... I have a weak pc config (so do many others). Not a big fan of modern games:steamthumbsdown: that require bulky PC. So I am not going to invest in a new set up(period). But I love CS games and CS2 in particular. Especially playing for fun with friends.
:steamhappy:I am very smart. And I surely realize that this new rain effect on the *Train* was added so that Valve could profit of Nvidia\AMD\Intel hardware sells.
Boys like me get bad performance... Valve-Nvidia sign contract... Boys supposedly buy new GPU,CPU etc. So clever indeed ))))))
But as I said earlier - I am VERY smart !!! And very POOR too:steamsad:. (Been fighting with my dog for the last chicken leg in da house for a long time now.:steamsalty:) So I will not take the bait.
Instead - Let us all - who have weak PC's and thin wallets politely ask dear Valve to remove the *Rain* effect entirely or to add an option for turning it off PLEASE !!!
It is almost unplayable for me due to the bloody *Rain* even with all the graphics set to low and resolution at 1024:768:steammocking:
Dust2, Mirage, Office - are perfectly fine with 100FPS+

So go ahead - leave a LIKE if you're on the same boat:steamthumbsup::steamthumbsup:

If your potato can't take rain......good.
Mid laptops from like 2020 can run the game fine at 100+ fps or so. If you can't run CS2, then you have some issues on your side, perhaps mind upgrading your setup.

High end rigs in Russia are far cheaper than in the west, just so to your info. Taking in account people buy used stuff, which is worth pretty much nothing there yet works without any problems.
doubt that it's cheaper
Well I am speaking from information I know, I am not assuming or guessing anything. Sure stuff freshly packaged from store will be more expensive. But if one buys smart, one can build for around 300 bucks a decent PC with a RTX card. This is not really a high end pc, but it could run a game like CS2 very easily.

map itself is perfectly optimized, rain effects almost does not affect the performance at all lol why are you lying?

If your pc cant handle the rain.... maybe it's time to put your 2005 laptop to rest. I have a 2015 laptop and I can play train with 75 fps,it's a i3 6ku , gpu nvidea 940mx , 8gb ram. run the game without problems , the price of my laptop nowdays is around 100 dolars. maybe you should start saving some money so next year you can buy one of these. I know what is to be poor, I'm brazilian and here all prices for hardware is super overpriced, but I know that if I buy smart I can have a decent setup without wasting much money. also the update has nothing to do with valve nvidea, all maps are super well optmized and updates make maps even lighter without compromizing visual quality, but there is a limit of how much an old hardware can handle new tecniques. so it's wise to at least keep your setup 8 or 9 years older than to date. if you don't want, go play cs source then, that game wont update nor add new maps too heavy

60-70 FPS on train while 120+ on Office Dust2.
Rain should be there.

Petition is declined.:steamthumbsdown::theDoge:

You see... I didn't ask you for any advice whatsoever. I simply stated the fact that the recently updated *Train* map turned out to be difficult for low end PC's to run due to the rain effect. Old maps are still running perfectly for me(120FPS guaranteed). That's it. No need for further discussion to be honest. When there is a useless crappy update - you should point that out and offer your opinion on how to make it better (Just like I suggested adding an option of turning the rain off)
CS - has always been a competitive game. I believe that you perfectly understand this. It has never been about fancy graphics. Gameplay and matchmaking must be prioritised here for the Devs at least for actual game updates. Skins and battle passes are perfectly fine because the Devs should be able to make money from their project.
But recently, I've been feeling that Valve have become just too greedy. They've been deliberately making the game harder for old PC's to run so that people would by new GPU's.
