Valve is banning Red service medal owners
To get a red service medal you have to get 240 level in 1 year so it's literally near impossible to get it legitimate way so many people used boosting/illegitimate method to get the highest level service medal. To achieve the high level badge they mostly ruined the flying scoutsman/retake mode where you always see the game is filled with level boosters bots who are kicking legitimate players trying to enjoy the game. This could also indicates Valve is probably bringing back wargames mode soon and before that they are removing these boosters to stop ruin the game for normal people.

They banned more than 50 people who had red medal( and purple ) so far and that includes people with 300k inventory.

So be careful using any illegitimate method to make your account looks cooler and that includes using SAM to get 100% achievements.

Cheaters getting banned deserved idc.
has enough money for expensive inventorties but not play the game :heart_laugh:

why would sam matter in a game where sam is useless?
You mean there are no achievements at this point ? Cause valve didn't ship full game yet and to make new achievements they need to ship all maps and game modes....They will introduce new achievements soon. It won't be current state that's for certain

Doubt everything unless the confirmation coming from Valve. It's still exploiting the game using a 3rd party.

The red medal owners probably thought the same. What harm it could do if I mind my own business and make my badges look cooler

I have used it in the past just unlocks achievements on games

some other devs do hand out game bans for using it.

it's basically a program that pretends to be a game on Steam and tells Steam that you earned achievements

there's not much malicious stuff that can be accomplished just by doing that

Nah, you won't get banned for using SAM. Most people don't even care about achievements and they don't give you any advantage

One additional reason on why valve decided to ban red medal players is because they can grind it on multiple accounts and later sell the account for easy profit

Exactly. They're not getting banned for having a medal. They're getting banned for botting, cheating, or boosting their way to that medal.
