Is it me or are there bots that spamming religious bs?
Well, there is a thing that has been going on in online multiplayer in CS:GO. There have been bots going around and have been spamming the voice chat with some religious ♥♥♥♥. The bot doesn't even move around or anything. I've looked online and found out that this has been happening to the Team Fortress 2 community ( a Reddit thread about that can be found here ). I've encountered the bots a few times very recently. From what I've learned, this has been going on for about 2 years now. An example of one of their profiles can be seen here:

From what can be seen from there is that they always use the same, or similar, description.

The comment section of the video it links to is pretty interesting.

Oh, and I must mention that this spam is Christian based.

No, it's not just been you.

For the past few months there have been bots like this mic spamming religious stuff. I've been talking with others and they say it's been happening to them too. I'm not too sure if its a bot though as there are other 'bots' that have multiple different YouTube links as their names and play different audios that also include religious stuff.

However this has been an on-and-off occurrence over the months, but when it does happen it's annoying as ♥♥♥♥.

People join and their name is just a youtube link spaming whats in the link.

Ya that guy joins casual games all the time but gets kicked. I laughed because somehow they have hundreds of commendations

You can buy commendations just like fake subscribers and stuff.

I figured that, but reported the bot many times for greifing, but i guess thats not investigated for casual?

It's thought to hurt trust factor but it doesn't end up leading to a ban most times in casual.
As far as I know it's hard to directly link reports in casual to bans.

I got on here specifically to search about this. It is STILL happening in 2024. You can kick them but there are so many of them they either rejoin or a different one comes in.

i haven't seen a preacher bot in over a month. maybe they took the hint that ill mass report the linked youtube channels linked to them. =)
