GOTY Enhanced edition memory leak???
so the highest rated review on this game says "The GOTY Enhanced Edition suffers from a memory leak that requires re-starting the game every hour or two, otherwise it slows to a laggy, stuttering mess. Cinematics and images exacerbate the memory leak. If the game played smoothly, I'd say the Enhanced Edition is the best version of the game. As it currently exists, it's just bad."
i've noticed my game starts to stutter/lag after playing for a while to so i think this is accurate. is there any fix to this? thanks

I didnt experience this. When I starterd the game first time it was kinda laggy. Now it runs flawlessly. The things that I have done:
1. Bypassed the launcher by launching the game with borderlands.exe found in installed folder(did this to stop the reverting graphical settings)
2. Using Borderless instead of fullscreen
3. disabled the voip (google it)

doing the steps outlined inside this guide heavily reduces the memory leak and all you lose is loading screens. Remaster is much better than original imo if u do this fix.

To add to this if your gpu has less than 8gigs of vram you are kinda screwed cuz the memory leak is within the gpu vram where a cutcene/angel popping up/loading screens will increase vram usage by 200 mb before maxing out and spilling into ram which is what cause the fps instability.

I never had an issue, played through it multiple times on multiple machines. The internet gives a disproportionate sense of problems when it comes to stuff like this. People for whom the games works fine aren't normally going online talking about how it's working, they just play the game.

i was actually having lag but the guide the person posted above fixed it so it's all good now
