World Records Post!!! - With Videos of all levels
Hello Everyone :)

I thought it would be a good idea to have a single post, where people can post the video's of the world records for each Level, Arcade Mode Run and Adventure Mode Run.

The reason i think this could be a good idea, is simply because, those who might want to improve at the game, but has difficulty getting a better time, might get something out of seeing the replays.

So, below i have linked videos to all the current world records i could find, both mine and OMEGA's. All subject to change when they get beaten.

I'm starting to get a feel for this games mechanics, i still think the landing pads are a bit unforgiving and very precise.

right now i''m not far off the ultimate pace with my keyboard and it's difficult to judge the landings most of the time, the advanced view doesn't help me as i need to focus on my landings.

anyway, each day i'm improving and it won't be long before i'm in between the top three on the leaderboards.

oh.. and i demolished the level 13 record with a 14.8. :P

Turtlewax responded with a 13 second. i'm not sure i can hit that. probably took the same route i did, the tunnel down. nice to of been on top there for 12 hours at least.

Since most Steam leaderboards are hacked...Not saying this game but maybe in the future without bandwidth issues and with technology a video will be uploaded automatically if you reach a certain part of a leaderboard. Although of course that would give away how that score or time was made :( so maybe that’s worse.

Also I guess since most leaderboards that are hacked tend to be obviously hacked with like 1second times. There should be some way to get rid of them quickly.

I miss the old school Xbox Live days without that issue. It makes it a lot more fun. Think there would be a preventative measure by now.

I’m playing a lot of GTAV recently and they have a leaderboard for everything and every one is worthless. :rshocked:

A few of those records need deleting on this games leaderboard. If Turtlewax, Omega and Twenu can't reach them on the levels or RA2Lover can't reach it on Adventure, then it is more than likely to be very suspect.

for examples;
-a 9 second on level 13.
-a 2 second on level 1.
-a 17 second on level 17.
-a 20 second on level 10.

There is only so quickly and controlled one can go to the limits of the game legitimately before it turns into an unreal tournament. pun not intended.

I somewhat agree, as it can be hard to tell at the time of designing the game, how fast a level can be done.
For example level 10, only the top 6 are actually below 30 seconds and the quickest score is 25 seconds, and on this level you both have to use a lot of boost, but you also have to be somewhat conservative of it or you will run out of fuel just before you have to land.

So unless the game has been heavily play tested by some top tier gamers it can be hard to sort out which times were hacked.

Hey guys,

Yeah someone could easily submit whatever time they want by editing the client. There are no checks in place to determine the validity of posted scores.

I don't think the game has attracted enough attention to have incurred this kind of trolling so far (with the exception of the exploit from the total arcade time being saved in plain text in the persistent data folder)

This said, it is convention in speed running that claiming a record requires video proof. I think ultimately sites like youtube and speedrun.com are far better for moderating records than steam leader boards.

I will delete any clearly troll times from the leader boards, but as pointed out, it would be impossible for me to determine illegitimate play if someone just wanted the fastest time.

Now that the landing has been adjusted to be more forgiving, I have a feeling beating all the old records shouldn't be too difficult. Good luck!

Curious to see how level 11, 23 and 30 stand up to Omega and Turtlewax coming through. I've been long wanting to see where my efforts stood with the fastest and most skilled players. it has been a few months since.

i know levels 25, 27 and 28 aren't going to stand up but it is worth wondering where i stand and how much improvement is needed across the board.

I have since put the game to rest and no longer play. I beta tested the new update for the DEV to help him out and suggest what I felt needed nerfed/changed. I love the game but I don't feel like grinding for times anymore. I will say however, I got more value out of this game than I do with any AAA title they release these days.

Well I'm playing this game as long as there is someone above me in any of these leaderboards. So I will definetely do those levels, xautos, and post a video of it here.
