Vacation Simulator

Game stays stuck in black screen wont go to lobby.
My vacation simulator is starting up and just staying in black screen for hours, i tried re installing reinstalling steam vr, i tried deleting my saves i tried emailing owlchemy support no answer please someone help..

Okay- I have an idea of what is going on. We have been looking into this problem for everyone. I am sorry for the wait on your support email. Have you already sent us your output log to owlchemysupport@google.com? If not, please send it our way so we can take a closer look.

Also, you said this was happening upon start? Was it the first time you started the game after download?

Being a software developer myself, I'm betting when the guys at Owlchemy Labs work out this issue they're going to smack their heads really hard. Something like this, which is super hard to track down, and hard for them to replicate will end up being something insanely stupid. Like one of our pieces of hardware sets some flag they don't usually think about that stops it launching, or something else is not how the game wants it to be on startup, but there's no error message, so it's not easy to fix.

It'll be likely very easy to fix once they work it out.

It's the working it out which is obviously proving difficult.

Which really sucks, as I bought this for my son for his birthday over six months ago, and we've never been able to play it :(

Aw man I'm glad you guys can get past the black screen now but a few of us still can't. Oh well at least more people can play it and I'll keep this $30 deadweight in my library and hope for a miracle.

Hey there! Sorry to hear you are still experiencing this. What headset are you using? It sounds like we need to look at your output log to find the correct next step.

Where to find the Output log:
C:\Users\<YOUR USERNAME>\AppData\LocalLow\Owlchemy Labs\Vacation Simulator\output_log.txt

OR

%appdata%\..\LocalLow\Owlchemy Labs\Vacation Simulator\output_log.txt
