Version 1.5.6 is Live!

Hello once again World Circuit Boxing fans! We hope that you and yours are well. Today we have released and made live the newest version of WCB. Several of the changes found in the latest installment were designed straight from the feedback we've received from those of you who have commented, posted, emailed, or otherwise voiced your opinions of our first commercial release game. We remain dedicated to bringing you the highest possible performing version of WCB we can. Furthermore, we are still just thrilled to be a part of your Steam community and have a place in your libraries among the many greater games available.

Please continue to respond and to post your thoughts and ideas. We welcome and need them so that we can hold up our end of the bargain. This is especially true in the case of the 1.5.5 GymManager system which is still pretty new and may have some bugs we've yet to discover during in-house testing. Also, if you have an issue that you can't find in the Help Scene in the game or in the still-unfinished manual available in your download, don't hesitate to bring it to our attention. Many things can be remedied with a quick community reply giving you instructions.

UPDATE CHANGES VERSION 1.5.6
**********************************************************************************'
-Added Fullscreen and window ratio option in the Settings scene. You can now toggle the screen size and ratio with these options. This change was made to accomodate our players who requested it. We apologize that it has taken several weeks to fix it, but alas, here it is.
-Changed the 'Typing' sound effect to a sound more pleasant to the ears when naming boxers, fight-styles, gyms, nicknames, etc.
-Darkened the settings scene's options window so that it was more legible
-Created three new options in the Settings Scene's options window. These options are also a direct result of player feedback. They allow you to bypass notifications during the Advancement of a season for Retirements, Training Results, and Hall of Fame Inductees. This will make the season advancement go much more quickly. We have plans to expand this to bypass wager results and gym earnings and boxer gym departures in the future.
-Replaced some poorly designed windowskins. We selected some darker colors this time, as we have found that they offer much better display when they are used. A red, a brown, and a green are available now as Window21, Window22, and Window23.

WCB Version 1.5.5 is Live!

Hi again.

Today we've released the next build to World Circuit Boxing! This is version 1.5.5. This adds an aspect to the game that we've been mulling over for a long time and fixes some weird little bugs that we found along the way.

THE BUGS:

Maybe some of you guys had noticed...maybe not...but there was a bug that occurred when a gym recruited a fighter and it made the recruits salary due immediately. This made for easy mis-managing of funds when recruting. If the gym overspent on the recruit, they would not then have enough to pay the boxer's salary when the season advanced, thus forcing the boxer to leave. This has been fixed in 1.5.5.

We also addressed another strange bug that occurred when a fighter left a gym for whatever reason. The boxer would then continue to earn for the gym even though they were no longer affiliated.

DARKER WINDOWS:

We also made some of the pop-up windows darker so that they could be more easily read when they appeared. This is an issue that probably still exists in some spots, and if you find such a window, let us know and we'll fix it on the next update.

SMALL ADDITIONS:

With 1.5.5, the Gym Rankings window has been expanded and now provides the player with a comparison of gym points earned.

We also implemented the boxer creator naming system. No longer will every boxer created start as being named 'New Dude'. This is good because it came to our attention that player's were saving the fighters prior to altering the name and thus ending up with various amounts of New Dudes in their circuit. In version 1.5.5, the new prospect starts with a randomly generated national name.

Most of you who had update 1.5.2 probably saw the glitch we mentioned in the last update in which those with skins number 7, 8, and 10, had a contrast between the head and the body. The discoloration was very visible--and we aplogize to the players for this. However, we hope that you will find the fix in 1.5.5 to your satisfaction.

NOW! THE GYM MANAGER SYSTEM:

WCB, version 1.5.5 unveils the concept of computer-controlled Gyms. And this is how it works:

-Player creates a gym.
-Player makes the new gym active.
-Player edits the gym to be controlled as "CPU" instead of "HUMAN"
-Player may then select a 'Focus' for the gym out of the 11 preset focuses
-When a season advances from the schedule scene, each CPU gym goes through their priority checklist (established through their focus) and manages the gym automatically, collecting contributions, recruiting fighters, boosting them through Power-ups, buying and selling Power-ups and Equipment, Purchasing facility upgrades, and even making wagers.

WHAT'S TO COME IN THE NEXT VERSION:

+We will continue to work on finishing the boxer graphics, though we are admittedly still far from the end of the process.

+We look into improving the Sound effects of WCB, by listening for annoying or out-of-place sounds.

+We probably expand the Gym Manager system

+We will discuss player-suggested concepts like the addition of women

+We will discuss in-house concepts like are youngest team member's 'sponsor' system

+We will begin work on understanding and implementing more through Steam. As we are new to Steam, we haven't quite got a handle on Keys, Acheivements, and Cloud storage. These are all things we want to get a feel for and be able to implement them to better our product.

We are humbled at the thought that we can somehow contribute to a few happy moments to all of our players. We look forward to more response and treasure the continued endeavor to bring our little game to those who are interested around the world.

New Build -Version 1.5.2- Available

J3I Games has updated World Circuit Boxing to version 1.5.2! This update fixes a critical error, some type-o mistakes, changes some default settings, and removes a few external editor files.
