- 80% of males can avoid being eaten after mating.
- They cannot feel sad or in love. Mantis don't feel emotions other than fear, stressed, hunger, and horny. No consciousness nor perception of pain, no moral dilemma neither. It's just pure conditioned reflex and biological instincts that help the survival and reproduction.
- Mantises molt, or shed their exoskeletons 5-10 times throughout their life. After 2-3 times molts, they need to be raised separately so they don't instinctively kill each other.
