The game is dead and the dev(s) gave up on it years ago I think.

I also think the name of the game has been changed over the years.

I have experienced the same exact problem. They have no comments still? I even told Steam to delete it from my account, and I would just buy another copy. When I deleted it, Steam would not let me buy it again, just restore it back to the same format that isn't working. Steam needs to change this.

I have the same problem , after game updated to never version all savers and profiles dissapear . I had only one location to finish the game . Now i have ♥♥♥♥ . And for Steam problem does not exist ! That's is called cheating !

Try to run the game in "Administrator" mode.

Edit: lol, I just realized how old this post is! Anyway, maybe someone else would like to try and tell me if it works...
