The mechanic is incredibly opaque, the game tells you almost nothing about what it does or how it works, and I've had several campaign missions so far abruptly slow to a crawl as my reputation plummets for no reason I can see, and no way to fix it. I understand that there may be things I'm missing, things I'm not doing optimally, etc. but even after searching the guides and discussions I'm no better off....

Resource gathering, base building, casting spells, crafting items for your units, taming dragons etc, everything is fun, but the whole island thing is annoying and it makes game worse.

I don't know why no one has connected these two dots. Driftland is like the brother or sister of Majesty Kingdom. I love games where you're not directly telling the heros what to do, you're simply putting bounties and running things like you're a Wizard or Lord from the Tower.
